PACFA has partnered with Urban Verified to provide convenient access to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (formerly ‘National Police Check’). Urban Verified is an Accredited Body (Agency) for the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC).
The full results from Checks purchased via this portal will not be sent automatically to PACFA. Instead a report of the overall result (without any personal details information) will provided so PACFA can update your record in the PACFA membership database. This will usually happen within approximately 7 days and you will be able to see this on your Member Portal. PACFA will not see the Check documentation or any information provided to Urban Verified in the process of applying for your Police Check. If you would prefer you can upload a pre-existing Check using the Member Portal.

The requirement for a Check only relates to practicing members (Certified Practicing Counsellors, Registered Clinical Counsellors and Registered Clinical Psychotherapists). Student, Academic, Affiliate or international members are not required to submit Checks at this time.
